Habitat: They inhabit dry forests, tropical forests, thickets and savannahs.
Feeding: They feed on fruits, seeds and insects that they find on the ground.
Habits: They are gregarious and live in groups of up to 15 individuals. In the reproductive season the pair is very territorial, being able to have several pairs and form nesting colonies. The males help in the construction of the nests.
It is interesting that… The song of this bird is characteristic since it can be interpreted as follows: “there is no cocoa”. She can sing alone or in a group and can be heard at dawn or dusk
