Habitat: It is found in tropical and subtropical forests, it also inhabits pine, pine-oak and mangrove forests. Food: It feeds on a wide variety of animals, including mammals, birds, reptiles, crustaceans and fish.
Habits: : It is terrestrial, but a very skilled climber and swimmer. It is mainly active at night and solitary. It marks its territory by scratching trees, scratching the ground, with urine and droppings. The male can emit loud roars with which he drives away other males and delimits his territory.
It is interesting that… In some regions of America it is possible to find jaguars with dark fur and barely visible rosettes that characterize them, in Mexico this peculiarity is not common
